Glorious beauty shrouded,
She floated in the black expanse.
Slow and gentle, she lifted her veil
As I held my breath in wonder.
Little by little, the minutes passed,
A heavenly glow had begun to show.
Once shy, she was now majestic,
Throwing off the veil, she revealed her face.
I looked at her in reverence
My beautiful Queen of the night.
Humbled by her quiet grace,
I couldn’t help but gaze.
To this Celestial wonder,
The stars surrender
And all the night sky too.
Oh look at the moon,
Look at her, indeed
A glowing ball against the ink blue!
Doesn’t she make you catch your breath too?
