“To everyone in love, out of love or looking for love,” what better way to paint love than through the colours of poetry? 23 Letters of Love by Suchita Agarwal is a poetry book that explores love in a way everyone can find relatable- like the delicate petals of a budding flower, the tides of the ocean on a stormy night, the quiet that comes after it and the calm you seek as you walk through a garden in solitude. Love to each of us means different things, yet we’re all connected by the music poetry adds to it. Did you know that love poetry is one of the oldest genres of poetry in the history of Literature?
Love can be powerful and if we are brave enough to let it consume us, we begin to learn what it means to truly love.
-Everything But Mine
To experience life as a whole, we need to learn to surrender to the uncertainty of it, letting go of our inhibitions, be willing to tread on unchartered territories, believe in the possibilities of miracles beyond horizons and move forward in faith. Love in time not just heals, but makes us “comfortable with our scars,” a beauty that we come to cherish.
The best way to experience love is to give, to express in the finest way possible. Poetry comes from the heart and Suchita’s book with 23 powerful poems portrays love through different angles. Each poem has a meaningful picture, adding to the beauty. In the tumult of emotions that may not always make sense to us we search for ways to make sense of the chaos inside us. Poetry like this tries to give words to feelings, helps us get in touch with our emotions and find reconciliation.
What do you think love is? Read between the pages, dive into the chasm, do you feel love is everything but yours? Is it a jar full of promises that your inner circle gifted you with, a lighthouse to guide you, reassuring you that you’ll never be alone? Is love a brief candle making that blue-coloured stone you hold so dear shine, do you feel love underneath your skin, does love remind you of someone you used to know, or does it make you get up and dance?
What do you think love is?
Even in the bleakest of times there was one thing that stayed stubbornly alive, it was that hope which carried us forward
A Jar full of Promises

Love… can mean different things to different people. I believe she first wrote these poems during the A2Z challenge. I had read all of them during that challenge. They are beautiful!
