Through the silvery curtains, it finds its way into the room.
Golden and bright, it is focused and does not quiver.
Gently caressing the little plants on the window,
Making the lettering of the books on the shelf stand out;
Adds a new glow to the paintings propped.
The orbs of fairy lights cascading on one side glitter,
Casting dancing shadows on the mustard wall.
Tiny sparrows and a lapwing follow the path it takes-
Perching on the white grills they begin their energetic prattle.
Now it explores the room with the same relentless focus,
Flooding every corner with radiance.
The empty canvas on the easel has a different lustre once it touches its surface
The journal on the desk speaks strong purpose.
It finally reaches my bed and the beam of light touches my eyes,
Calling me towards another day, another dream
To experience moments set ablaze with joy divine
To live those moments as if sun-kissed by the beam of life.
