The thing that you look for
Every time you’re stuck,
Every time you are at a crossroad-
Each time you wonder about the dreams you had when you were little
And if they could still be real.
The time you feel a dark cloud hover over you
And the silent screams terrify you.
When the pain seems overpowering,
Hope like a far-fetched thing
And you feel yourself fading…
You close your eyes and feel the world around you:
The universe teeming with life,
The way the night magically turns to day,
The birds chirping and flowers blooming-
The mundane sweet nothings of nature,
The cradle of joy she wraps you with.
Reminiscing the moments of joy,
You hear the tiny voice within- you know you can create that joy again
And you find that thing you look for.
You know the road to choose
You know those dreams are real
You know where to find the sunshine-
The sunshine that is a salve to your pain
You found that thing you were looking for
You found it when you felt life- you found that radiance you were looking for
The radiance that always was, is and will be.
The radiance that is you.
And you gathered yourself and walked on to let that radiance shine.
