As bloggers, one of the major challenges we face is visibility. We might have a circle of friends and families who would diligently read our posts, but what about the rest of the world? We might have some content capable of adding real value to someone’s life. How will they know our post even exists?
For people to know your post exists, Google should first know that it does, and acknowledge it. We all know that SEO is one of the most important internet marketing strategies but we may not always have a paid site. If you explore a little, you can always find some simple ways to drive a considerable amount of traffic to your blog. Here are 4 steps I found that worked for me:
- A well organized blog- The best way to drive away a reader is a messy blog. The right categories, the right widgets, contact information, and most importantly what your blog is about- These are some things I like to keep updated. I wouldn’t want someone getting lost trying to find something on my blog, so I keep it simple and clear.
- Find your inspiration- If you really want to, you can always find it in you to be consistent in writing. Prioritize! Manage time, keep learning in your niche and beyond. New ideas will always come to you. Regular posts can make your blog look happening and alive.
- Community- A huge part of blogging is finding a community that you are comfortable with. I found the blogging family I needed in Blogchatter and participating in interesting conversations and engaging with other bloggers has been an amazing part of my blogging journey.
- Back Links- BlogRolls on Blogchatter- A perfect place to submit your posts. It gets you views and you have a back link to your site. Isn’t that cool? Every now and then I also find quite a few other interesting blog posts that I enjoy reading. It is like an online magazine with assorted posts and what more, you get to add yours too! So what are some steps you follow to get views on your posts?
Some interesting posts.
Getting sponsored posts on your blog could also help in building backlinks and driving more readers to your blog.
As part of SEO, the Yoast SEO plugin is pretty cool in terms of helping to build the right meta tags, keywords, meta titles etc.

Hi Leha, thanks for sharing some really useful ideas for blog visibility. I agree with you that blog needs to be organised enough to allow readers to read, search and interact comfortably. The key challenge for any blogger is always the reach. The more channels we pursue, the better it would be for the blog. I am still a learner but gained a lot being a part of Blogchatter. Keenly in search of learning about more strategies to widen the reach of my blog. Thanks for your post and it’s a quick reminder for doing the fundamental right 🙂
