The thoughts of an October breeze

The midnight sky was a blanket over me. My eyes searched and found only endless space and a scattering of stars adorning that midnight blanket. The cool October breeze graced the night with its gentleness . Long needles of grass swayed in symphony, forming a perfect silhouette against the night. I took a deep breath and listened to the rustling of the leaves. Every time the breeze blew toward me, it brought the fragrance of jasmine with it from the little bush growing at my window.

I thought about the little flowers blooming there, and fresh leaves sprouting. I thought about how those stars twinkled every single day and showed up when my window opened to the midnight sky. I thought about how the fragrant breeze brought me hope and peace and how those blades of grass showed me what unity meant. I thought about the crickets chattering, bringing music to the silent night, I thought about how the midnight blue would soon disperse into paler hues. I thought about how it would soon be another day with different wonders- another day, another chance, another gift of nature given unconditionally to you and me.

I wondered at the little marvels outside my window, the little creations that reminded me, we are all marvels too.
