Bits of the sky peek through the leaves, the distant leaves that look like a myriad of green specks.
The top almost pierces the clouds, and disappears behind them. I wonder what lies beyond.
The spectacular narrow leaves point sharply downwards with a boldness that leaves me stunned.
It is resilient through different seasons, even in metamorphosis- pouring a fragrance that says, don’t just live, be alive.
It stands tall and doesn’t show signs of faltering
I look at its mottled trunk, running my bare hands on the bark
Coarse, almost brutal like a warrior
But the inside, sleek and creaseless.
I pick up a fallen leaf and crush it in my palm
Taking in the fragrance of an entire forest,
Beauty in entirety is what I see and feel.
The eucalyptus dream tells me more about life than I ever knew before-
Speaking of invisible strength and focus,
Breathing healing and purpose.
Eucalyptus dream carrying the fragrance of a forest,
Simply marvelous, with a demeanor that is surest.

Beautiful verse Leha, I loved eucalyptus fragrance, the white bark and dry cones strewn around the tree. They are visible in hills only now.

Loved the “fragrance of the forest” bit. And the idea that dreams are fragrances – ephemeral but alive.

I’m surrounded by eucalyptus trees, and it’s so wonderful to see them when you hold your neck up in the sky to see the beautiful tall tree, as you said piercing the sky. Loved this eucalyptus dream with the fragrance of forest in it.
